Pema Khandu also assessed the facilities and reviewed the progress at the new airport and asked the concerned parties to complete the hiring of manpower for several positions as soon as possible. He also ordered the contractors to complete the pending work within the deadline, even if that needed people to work two shifts every day. The chief minister added "The proposed terminal building has a touch of our rich tribal culture and architecture. "

The new flight service will decrease both travel time and cost between the two capitals. Although it has not been officially announced, ticketing platforms are currently showing tickets at just above Rs 1000 plus necessary taxes.
